Piano Instruction
Private Lessons
Private lessons are intended for students who are dedicated to practicing a minimum of 30 minutes a day, 6 days a week, with parental help. Private students often take part in recitals, exams, and competitions.
Students enjoy playing a combination of classical and pop music, and are encouraged to play music that interests them. Music Theory, Ear Training, and Sight Reading are also an integral part of our lessons.
Lessons with Emma are $60/30 minutes, $90/45 minutes, or $120/60 minutes. Piano lessons are offered for intermediate to advanced students. Percussion lessons are offered for all ages and levels.
Lessons with Ben are $50/30 minutes. Piano lessons are specialized for beginners of all ages.
KiddyKeys Group Music Classes (Ages 3-5)
Welcome to the wonderful world of KiddyKeys®—an enchanting, multi-faceted music program designed to inspire and educate preschoolers! With a focus on piano concepts and cultivating a deep appreciation for music, KiddyKeys® transforms every child into a shining star.
Our engaging and highly educational classes allow your child to explore their natural musical abilities while experiencing the thrill of creating music with their peers. KiddyKeys® expertly blends fun with learning, encouraging each child to embrace their inner creativity and develop a lifelong love for music.
A 50-minute small group class is $45.
My First Piano Adventure Group Piano Classes (Ages 5-6)
Ignite your child’s love for music in this engaging small group piano class, tailor-made for their age group! Designed specifically for children aged 5 to 6, this captivating class not only includes expert piano instruction, but also features an array of fun and interactive off-the-bench activities to keep your little one engaged and excited.

A 50 minute small group class is $45
Kids Group Piano Classes (Ages 7-14)
Make music and have fun together with 4-5 other students in a group setting!
Group piano class is intended for music-loving students with busy schedules. Practicing at home during the week is encouraged, but not required.
Students meet for one hour each week and have the opportunity to progress through their method books, scales, and solos as well as playing together on an ensemble piece.
A 60-minute group class is $55.

Adult Group Piano Classes
Adult Beginner Sip & Play Class meets on Mondays or Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm. New and late beginners are all welcome, join us for a fun evening of laughter and music! Music and charcuterie are provided, bring a beverage to sip.
Classes are $45 per week.
Adult Intermediate to Advanced Sip & Play Class meets the fourth Tuesday of each month from 7-8pm. If you're ready to play a prepared piece in front of a small group, join us! Constructive comments, supportive peers, and charcuterie are provided. Bring a piece to play, and a beverage to sip.
Drop in fee is $25.
Recitals
Students have the opportunity to perform throughout the school year at two studio recitals, multiple MTAC All-Level recitals, the Bach Festival Young Artists Showcase, and the MTAC Annual Scholarship Audition for cash prizes.
Certificate of Merit and ABRSM
Emma has served on the Board of Directors for the Music Teachers' Association of California, Monterey, and as Branch Chair for the Certificate of Merit Evaluations. Students who would like to participate must be registered during the month of September. As of 2023, students can choose between in-person or online testing. ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) exam preparation is also offered. These are year round and can be taken when the student is ready. Exams can be done in-person or online. For more information, please visit the ABRSM website.
Charter Schools
We are vendors with Ocean Grove Charter School, and we're happy to work with homeschooling families to set up a PO for lessons or group classes.
Trial Lessons
Prospective students are encouraged to attend a trial lesson prior to committing to a block of lessons.
The Trial Lesson Fee is the same as a half-hour lesson.
